At Brask, I worked on shell-and-tube heat-exchanger projects, combining mechanical design with estimating, customer communication, and shipment support. My work included engineering drawings, calculations, bills of materials, and quotations based on customer specifications and applicable ASME and TEMA requirements.

Alongside my engineering responsibilities, I served as lead estimator with two people reporting to me. I also trained and mentored junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepared heat-exchanger drawings, calculations, and bills of materials using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, RCS, and Compress.
  • Developed estimates and competitive quotations in response to customer requests for quotation.
  • Led estimating work with two direct reports.
  • Facilitated customer meetings and supported technical submittals, production releases, and shipment coordination.
  • Trained and mentored junior engineers.
Selected Contributions
  • Estimating leadership and bid preparation. I combined engineering knowledge with responsibility for estimating work and two direct reports.
    • I prepared drawings, bills of materials, and quotations for customer bid requests. This required translating customer specifications and design requirements into the technical and material information needed to prepare a quote.My estimating responsibilities connected the engineering work with the company’s process for pursuing new projects.
  • Customer communication and delivery support. I facilitated customer discussions and supported projects through technical documentation and shipment activities.
    • I met with customers to clarify requirements and prepared the drawings and technical information used for customer submittals and production releases. I also supported shipment coordination as equipment moved toward delivery.
  • Junior engineer training and development. I trained and mentored junior engineers alongside my own engineering and estimating responsibilities.
    • This role included supporting other engineers’ development within the heat-exchanger manufacturing business. It added experience in guiding colleagues to my responsibilities for technical work and estimating.
